Privacy Policy

Easyly turns documents you already own into a private, searchable knowledge base that can answer questions about them. This policy describes exactly what data we access, why, where it goes, and how you take it back.
What we access
If — and only if — you connect Google Drive, Easyly requests the Google Drive scope https://www.googleapis.com/auth/drive. Using it we read file names, folder structure, modification times, and the text content of the documents in the Drive you connect, and we can move, rename or update files when you ask us to organise them.
We do not access Gmail, Contacts, Calendar, Photos, or any other Google service. We access no Google data at all until you complete the consent screen, and none after you withdraw access.
Why we access it
Document text is indexed so you can search it and ask questions of it. To do that we generate numerical representations (embeddings) of the text and store them alongside it, and we pass relevant excerpts to a language model to compose an answer that cites its sources.
Where it goes
- Document text and embeddings are stored in our Postgres database, isolated per customer, and transmitted over TLS.
- Text excerpts are processed by Cloudflare Workers AI to generate embeddings and answers. This is inference only. Your content is not used to train any model, ours or anyone else's.
- The Google credential that permits this access (your OAuth refresh token) is encrypted before it is stored, using a key held separately from the database, so the database alone cannot be used to reach your Drive.
What we never do
- We do not sell your data, and we do not share it with advertisers or data brokers.
- We do not use it to train, retrain, or fine-tune machine-learning models.
- We do not use it for advertising or for any purpose you did not ask for.
- We do not permit humans to read your content, except where you explicitly ask us to help with a specific problem, where the law requires it, or where it is necessary to investigate abuse or a security incident.
Limited Use
Easyly's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
Withdrawing access and deleting data
You can revoke Easyly's access to your Google account at any time, without contacting us, at https://myaccount.google.com/permissions. Revoking stops all further access immediately.
To have content we already indexed deleted, email support@easyly-network.com. We delete indexed content and the stored credential within 30 days of such a request, and immediately on account closure.
Retention
We keep indexed content for as long as your account is active, because that is what makes it searchable. We keep operational logs, which record that a request happened but not the content of your documents, for a limited period for security and debugging.
Children
Easyly is a business tool and is not directed to children under 16.
Changes
If we change what data we access or what we do with it, we will update this page and change the date above before the change takes effect.
